What is APIMI?

APIMI is a company founded and based in Latvia, created by us - sisters Madara and Ieva. The idea for founding a company of our own came to us by inspiration of our father - beekeeper. Already in early childhood we learned and inherited the love for bees, nature and work from our parents.
Now we wish to share the fruits that these qualities have created, letting anyone enjoy the wonderful effects substances created by bees can have on ones beauty and wellness.
The main active ingredients in the natural cosmetics produced by APIMI are the spectacular substances created by bees, mainly - honey, beeswax and propolis. The bee products we use come from apiaries in Piebalga - engulfed by forests, with no agricultural lots nearby, allowing us to obtain only the highest quality ingredients. APIMI products contain and are based upon natural and certified ingredients.
APIMI products are produced with the utmost respect towards nature and care for you - the consumer! Our products aren't tested on animals, testing is done in an independent and accredited laboratory.
Bee inspired - Created by APIMI!

Meet - APIMI Madara

Who are you?
A woman, a mother, a wife to her lover, in one word - Madara.
What is your education?
RTU Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Technologies, LLU Master of Engineering in Food Science. Work experience in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry.
What function do you perform in the company?
I am responsible for the production part, which includes the creation of an idea for a new product to its final stage, including the adaptation and automation of equipment. APIMI factory is my kingdom :)
What is your daily life, responsibilities?
APIMI alternates work duties with raising a son. I process and process bee products collected from our own apiaries so that they can be incorporated into cosmetic products. I am working on new products. Most of the time is spent manufacturing existing products and automating processes. Of course, documentation improvement and product testing are an integral part.
Where do you get inspiration, new ideas?
Undoubtedly in nature - together with the family, venting your head, many new ideas and solutions for various work and life situations arise.
Your greatest joy (in connection with APIMI)?
Hmm.. The biggest thing will probably be the improvement of production facilities - creation of cosmetics production equipment, automation of processes. The stories, texts and calls from customers about how the products have improved their daily lives are very heartwarming.
How do you rest, rejuvenate?
Going to nature with the family, or meeting people close to the family, spending time together. I still really like to do sports, it also recharges me, currently I only get to go to the physiotherapist once a week, but it gives me a lot of strength. There is also the Saturday sauna - it is a real energy recharge. Sometimes I get to watch a detective story with my husband, it helps me to forget about the day's adventures, and sometimes to turn my thoughts away from the work to be done.
What are your future dreams, visions?
To process bee products in different and different ways, to create new means that would improve our everyday life, different from those available on the market. I want to specialize more in the collection and processing of bee products, which gives high efficiency.

Meet - APIMI Ieva

Who are you?
Mother to three children, wife to a great man, sister to two strong women, daughter to wise and loving parents, granddaughter to her beloved aunt and, of course, co-owner and board member of the company, or simply APIMI Ieva.
What is your education?
RTU Bachelor and Master of Engineering - in construction. In addition (in the form of courses), accounting, record keeping and export skills have been learned.
What function do you perform in the company?
I handle the numbers and everything related to the sales side. Someone will say boring accounting, record keeping, reports and projects, but I like it. It seems that education and love for numbers and calculations make it possible to spell with passion. I create and monitor our website, I am the person who receives and responds to messages that can be sent in the "chat" box of the website or in any other way. I process and fulfill both people's and store orders. I participate in fairs and exhibitions, representing Apimi. I maintain communication and look for new cooperation partners.
What is your daily life, responsibilities?
Everyday life is very full and colorful, you can't complain about boredom and routine. There are times when you have to become a programmer and break into the world of "code", there are times when you have to be a mom despite the responsibilities and to-do list. My daily life could be described as balancing between family and business.
Where do you get inspiration, new ideas?
Thoughts and ideas swirl in my head, they are solved and thought over at night, on walks with children, going on trips by bike, bus, train, they are constantly moved and then there is a moment when you have to sit down at the paper or computer and create. The feeling that they are created in the very short moment when I draw, write or tell, but in reality it is ground and thought for hours and days.
Your greatest joy (in connection with APIMI)?
I really enjoy seeing the growth. We change, improve, and comparing ourselves with time, what kind of brand, product packaging or visual material was before and what kind of changes are visible now - very positive changes and it brings great joy. There is joy at the finished repair works of the production plant and excitement about the new production equipment, the feeling of finishing studies when all that remains is practice.
How do you rest, rejuvenate?
For me, there is a harbor of peace - a place where you can breathe fresh country air, where you can put your hands in the land of Latvia and stir it up, where you can wade in the morning dew with your bare feet and hide from the gusty winds behind a thick jacket. Every day, when the harbor of peace is far away, I go to the excellent Kaizen gym twice a week.
What are your future dreams, visions?
I would like to see Apimi products on the shelves of larger stores and to send regular shipments of pallets outside the border of Latvia.
